THE COMPANY
Harnham is partnering with an innovative health-tech startup building patient-focused agentic AI and LLM applications to advance capabilities in medical claims in hospitals. The AI engineering team builds scalable, data-driven solutions that personalize user experiences and equip care providers with actionable insights, all while working with large-scale infrastructure and diverse technologies.
THE ROLE
- You will be responsible for machine learning model deployment and scalability for the company's agentic AI product across HUNDREDS of hospitals
- You will report directly to the founding team and work closely on technical direction
- Own AI infrastructure and quickly build into production, particularly focusing on novel AI and LLM applications
- You will implement and design code and build out to production using various machine learning and LLM techniques, owning machine learning workflow operations and distributed systems
- Own CI/CD pipelines for MLOps / LLMOps
- You will play an integral role of building out the AI team and scaling out its product
- Act as a thought leader role for AI across the business, mentoring junior team members
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Principal MLOps Engineer will likely have the following skills and experience:
- 10+ years of commercial experience preferred with a focus on building and deploying machine learning and LLM models, ideally with voice, multi-modal or chatbot systems
- Experience working in a scaling startup is highly preferred
- Expertise in Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for production-grade work
- Commercial experience building novel AI platforms with large datasets
- History of working with and managing real-time AI applications in production settings
- Cloud experience in AWS, Azure or GCP
- DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines required
- History of working on models from concept to production / end-to-end / 0-1
- Software engineering background preferred, MLOps experience with MLFlow, Kubeflow or similar
- Containerization experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience in settings wearing multiple hats
- Domain experience in healthcare, health-tech, med-tech or similar a plus; EHR, EMR, claims, HEOR or other medical data exposure highly preferred
- History of partnering with non-technical stakeholders required
- Experience owning projects directly preferred

The Role
As Senior Data Analyst, you will be a core member of the data analytics team, responsible for turning member and third-party data into actionable insight. Your work will support internal policy specialists, senior leaders, and external stakeholders.
You will:
- Lead on the collection, cleaning, and analysis of data from member organisations and external sources.
- Use SQL and Excel as core tools to manipulate large, complex datasets and build robust analysis.
- Develop clear, engaging dashboards and visualisations in Power BI to communicate trends and performance.
- Combine internal data with third-party sources such as survey datasets, market statistics and official data to create meaningful insight.
- Work closely with policy and communications teams to provide data support on ad hoc projects, publications, and media responses.
- Contribute to regular market and diversity reporting, including survey design, data validation, and reporting of results.
- Present findings to colleagues with varying levels of data literacy, tailoring your communication to maximise understanding and impact.
- Help identify opportunities to improve data processes, tools, and methodologies across the analytics function.
Your Skills & Experience
You will be a strong fit if you can demonstrate:
- Strong commercial experience working with SQL to extract and manipulate data.
- Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets, complex formulas, and quality checks.
- Experience using a data visualisation tool, ideally Power BI, to build clear dashboards and reports.
- Proven experience working with third-party data sources such as market research, survey data, official statistics, or regulatory datasets.
- A track record of creating insight by combining internal and external data to answer business or policy questions.
- Confident communication skills, with experience explaining analysis to non-technical stakeholders and adapting your message to different audiences.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Desirable: experience in financial services, insurance, or market research, and exposure to Python for more advanced analysis.

The Role
You will:
* Lead strategic initiatives focused on improving approval rates and credit decision quality across multiple product lines.
* Use strong SQL capability to interrogate complex datasets and identify drivers of risk, conversion, and performance.
* Build scalable frameworks for tracking and monitoring approval strategies.
* Partner with growth, marketing, product, and risk teams to balance commercial objectives with customer outcomes.
* Test and iterate on approval and underwriting strategies in response to market conditions.
* Present data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders and influence key decisions across the business.
Your Skills and Experience
You will bring:
* Strong commercial experience in lending, credit risk, approvals, underwriting strategy, or similar data-led environments.
* Advanced SQL skills, including experience working directly with complex, multi-source data.
* Proven ability to use data insights to drive measurable strategy changes.
* Experience collaborating across teams and communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
* A strong quantitative or STEM background.
